EFFECT health economics sub-study

A number economic and health markers are being collected over the course of the trial with the intention of calculating the cost effectiveness of the study intervention.

It is expected that the savings both in prevention of hospitalizations and increased life-years will more than off-set the increased treatment cost involved in adding an additional agent to the current standard of care. The results of the economic study will likely provide useful additional motivation for policy change.
