EFFECT Sites: Johannesburg

There are two EFFECT sites in Johannesburg, Gauteng: Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital (under the guidance of Dr Merika Tsitsi as PI) and Helen Joseph Hospital (under Dr Jeremy Nel's stewardship as PI). Both sites fall under the auspices of WITS university.

Drs Asha Thombrayil, Raphaela Berghammer-Bohmer and Yusuf Moola are the trial Medical Officers split between the two sites with support from Prof Govender and Dr Richards. Sisters Sithole and Zikalala are the trial nurses at the sites.

Additionally, the EFFECT central pharmacy is located at Helen Joseph run by Coreen Barker and her team.
